Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Gravesite Expansion Project

• Historic Fort Sam Houston was the site for this multi-million dollar expansion of the national cemetery in 1995.  The project consisted of new gravesite areas, storm drainage improvements, new roads, underground utilities, new maintenance facilities and irrigation systems.  Innovative designs were necessary so that the new construction would blend in with the 19th Century Old West Architecture of Fort Sam Houston.

 Forest Ridge Subdivision, Schertz, Texas

• MBC Engineers, Inc. provided land planning and civil design services for this 121-acre single family residential development in Schertz, Texas.  Design work included streets, drainage, grading, water and sanitary sewer systems, with total infrastructure costs in the range of $3.2 million.  An extensive greenbelt system was also part of the project, which included a swimming pool, playscape and hiking trails.
